Matthew is a certified flooring inspector and concrete slab moisture testing technician with more than 25 years of experience across all sectors of the flooring industry. He provides independent pre-installation and post-installation flooring inspections, concrete slab moisture testing with comprehensive written reports, and expert witness services for residential and commercial properties throughout the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales and Southern Queensland.

As an independent flooring inspector, Matthew has completed hundreds of flooring inspections and has been the preferred inspector for leading global flooring manufacturers, including Shaw Industries and Mohawk Industries. His extensive industry knowledge and unbiased approach have earned him a reputation for delivering accurate assessments, detailed reporting, and practical solutions.

Committed to maintaining the highest professional standards, Matthew has undertaken specialised training and certification in multiple flooring disciplines both in Australia and internationally.

In 2021, he completed Flooring Inspector Certification through the Floor Consultant & Inspector Training School (FCITS) in Dalton, Georgia, USA, a respected Inspector training school in the carpet capital of the world.

In 2022, Matthew expanded his expertise through the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, earning certifications as a Hardwood Flooring Inspector, Installer, and Sand & Finish Professional. He further strengthened his technical qualifications by becoming a certified inspector through the North American Laminate Flooring Association (NALFA).

In 2024, Matthew attended the World of Concrete exhibition and training program in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he completed certification through the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) as a Concrete Slab Moisture Testing Technician. As the only certified CSMT in the area, he can perform concrete slab moisture testing in accordance with recognised industry standards, helping property owners, builders, and flooring contractors avoid future costly flooring failures.

Matthew is a current member of the ATFA and has completed their advanced assessment of timber flooring program.

Matthew has also served as a flooring inspector for both the National Floor Covering Association (NFCA) and the British Columbia Floor Covering Association (BCFCA), further demonstrating his commitment to professionalism and technical excellence within the flooring industry.
